Diagnosis and studies are being made to understand the biophysical and environmental characteristics of the basin, socioeconomic complement characterizations. The biophysical environment and socio-economic-based is essential to the planning process.

Product of these biophysical studies are obtained thematic maps to know the geology, geomorphology, land use, slope, erosion risks and degradation, hydrometeorological information, among others, and studies in the area of influence associated with: risk areas flooding and flooding, land use, aquifer recharge areas, among others.

The studies carried out to obtain a baseline map-list showing the current state of affairs of the basin and then give way to planning interventions.
